Performing on Launchpads with Ableton live
Wondering what it would be like to play electronic music hands on instead of programming it? By the end of this 6 hour course, you will learn hands on the basics of using pad controllers (like the Novation Launchpad, Akai APC, or Ableton Push) to express yourself. By the end of this course, you will know how to perform and improvise either by yourself or with a band or a DJ.
No music theory knowledge or musical experience is needed. You can bring your own pad controller (like the Novation Launchpad, Akai APC, or Ableton Push) or learn on our Ableton Push 2.
TOPICS
• Finger drumming
• Launching clips and loops
• Cutting up loops and samples
• Using effects to create excitement

DETAILS
• Your own laptop, either Windows or Mac, for your personal practice
Headphones, for your personal practice
• Ableton Live 10 Suite demo or Ableton Live Lite 10 (Live Lite is bundled with Ableton Push 2 and some other pad controllers)
• Ableton Push 2 preferred, or Novation Launchpad or Akai APC or MIDI Fighter, for your personal practice (contact us if you have any other pad controller)
• No music theory knowledge or musical experience is needed
